Application of Transient Analysis Techniques to Fault Diagnosis in Low- and Medium-Power Synchronous Machines

چکیده

Fault diagnosis techniques applied to synchronous motors such as Permanent Magnet Synchronous Machines (PMSMs) and Reluctance (SynRMs) are scarcely addressed in the literature, strong contrast attention paid asynchronous motors. In addition, most widespread those based on steady-state condition analysis, little is detection during transient operation. The present paper aims identify research gaps topic demonstrate potential of analysis. First, different diagnostic methodologies literature thoroughly analyzed. Then, two laboratory case studies presented fault under non-stationary conditions for a PMSM SynRM. Stator current analysis performed by building time–frequency maps analyze evolution indicators. results show clear differences between healthy faulty regime.
